1. Description of the service

The ticketing platform ticket.io enables event organizers to create and operate their own online ticket shops. Event organizers can offer tickets for events for public purchase via a specific subdomain. The ticket purchase process includes selecting the event, ticket category, and number of tickets, entering personal data, and making payment. After a successful transaction, buyers receive their tickets digitally.

2. Legal requirements and target achievement

The platform is subject to the requirements of the German Accessibility Enhancement Act ( , BFSG), which implements European Directive (EU) 2019/882 into German law. Our goal is to improve accessibility for people with disabilities and to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

3. Compliance with accessibility requirements

We are continuously working to optimize our platform and improve accessibility.

A. Accessibility of our standard templates

Our shop templates Nero, Bianco, and Cosmo provided by ticket.io have been revised and comply with the AA conformance level of WCAG 2.1. This includes the following aspects:

  • Perceptibility: Texts have sufficient contrast to the background, and all important information is perceptible to screen readers.
  • Usability: All navigation and form fields can be operated entirely using the keyboard. Clear focus indicators make orientation easier.
  • Comprehensibility: The user interface is logically structured and the texts are clear and easy to understand.
  • Robustness: The programming uses semantic HTML and complies with current web standards to ensure high compatibility with assistive technologies.

B. Individual template customizations

Since event organizers have the option of customizing the appearance of their shops with their own logos, images, font colors, and CSS adjustments, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of these individually designed elements. Responsibility for compliance with accessibility standards for these adjustments lies with the respective event organizers who operate the ticket shops.

4. Information for consumers

As operators of the ticketing platform, we would like to inform you about your legal rights. According to Article 246 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB), you are entitled to the following information:

  • Identity and address of the entrepreneurs: The identity of the respective organizers offering tickets, as well as their contact details, can be found in the legal notice of the respective ticket shop and in the general terms and conditions.
  • Right of withdrawal: In accordance with § 312g para. 2 sentence 1 no. 9 BGB (German Civil Code) , there is generally no right of withdrawal for the purchase of admission tickets.
